Meet Beaufort Wilkie.

Beaufort lives in a house with his (mostly adult) brothers and sisters, all similar in age, all musicians in some capacity. Their fictional world of musical siblings and other characters serve as the backdrop for King Wilkie Presents: The Wilkie Family Singers, the newest release from King Wilkie.

Joined by a cast that includes Peter Rowan, David Bromberg, Abigail Washburn, John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), Sam Parton (Be Good Tanyas), and Robyn Hitchcock, King Wilkie founding member Reid Burgess leads the continually reinvented, onetime traditional bluegrass outfit in their most ambitious project to date.

Follow Rosemary, Symbaline, Walt, Dusty, Beaufort and the rest of the Wilkies as they try to understand their innermost inspirations and what has driven them into such an unconventional living arrangement…

The cast is a veritable summit of northeaster underground pop luminaries, including Kristin Andreassen (Uncle Earl, Sometymes Why), Nichole Ferree (Orange Nichole), One Happy Island, Desmond Reed, Brad San Martin, and Mark Robinson (Cotton Candy, Unrest).

Released by the aw-shucks-inspiring London-based WeePop! imprint, this limited-edition imported three-inch CD features elaborate, lovingly-assembled handmade packaging, including a full libretto and individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
